What is a Minne Wedding™?
A mini wedding, tiny wedding, micro wedding, pop up wedding, fancy elopement… whatever you want to call it — it is a day that you share with a few other couples — everyone at different times. It's a short and drama-free event that you can enjoy with the closest loved ones or just the two of you! You share the resources with the others getting married that day, so that the cost to you is less.
What do you do after your Minne Wedding™?
Whatever you want! Many couples make reservations at a restaurant to continue the festivities. Some couples leave right away on their honeymoon. Some go home and put on sweatpants. It is totally up to you. When you reserve your Minne Wedding™ we’ll give you some insider tips and recommendations specific to your date and location.
Can I have a longer Minne Wedding™?
Yes! Most dates have the ability to have an Extended Reception for the last time slot, this is noted in the event details for each Minne Wedding™. The Extended Reception gives you two more hours of party time, perfect for a more formal meal, a little entertainment, and general merriment! You would work with the Minne Weddings team to customize your extended reception. Additional fees apply.
Can I bring my pet?
While we love pets, we can’t guarantee your pet will be allowed at your Minne Wedding™. Please contact us to find out if your venue allows.
Do I get to pick out the colors and decor?
Part of the beauty (literally) of a Minne Wedding™ is that each one has a thoughtful, distinct design that you don’t have to create. A Pinterest mood board for each Minne Wedding™ can be found on the event page. Every Minne Wedding™ is one-of-a-kind, just like our couples.
Can we have a wedding party?
To keep your ceremony short and sweet we have found it’s best to limit the participants. You may have up to two Honor Attendants (i.e. Maid of Honor and Best Man).
Can we tour the venue prior to booking?
No, we do not offer venue tours. Venues provide great videos and photos of their spaces on their websites. We link the venue’s website on each Minne Wedding™ event page.
Do we get married with other couples?
Nope! There are different time slots to choose from and have the day planned out meticulously to make sure that you do not run into anyone else's event.
How much does a Minne Wedding™ cost?
The cost of each Minne Wedding™ varies based on the venue, date, and perks included. The range is between $6,500 - $7,000. Specific pricing can be found on each Minne Wedding™ event page.
What is included in the price?
Everything you need to get your marriage off on the right foot! The venue, officiant, planning, design, flowers and decor, photography and videography, cake, champagne, music, rentals, digital invitation, and a few surprises for up to 30 guests (plus the couple). Every Minne Wedding™ has the option of adding enhancements from light bites to flowers for your VIPs.
Do kids count towards my guest count?
Children ages 3 and under do not count towards your guest count.
Can I bring in any of my own vendors?
We have done all the legwork for you so you don’t have to! In order to create the Minne Weddings experience, we curate the vendor team.
What about providing our own officiant? We want our pastor to perform the ceremony.
The one exception we make to the “no outside vendors” rule is allowing you to bring in your own officiant. You can have someone of your choosing to marry you. Our officiant will still check in with you all prior to your wedding. In addition, they will assist on the day of to ensure the ceremony goes smoothly and is legal. To note, there’s no price reduction for bringing in your own.
How long does the wedding last?
A typical Minne Wedding™ is about 90 minutes and breaks down like this:
10-15 minute ceremony
45 minute reception
20-30 minute couple’s shoot
Can I get ready at the venue?
You must arrive dressed and ready to go for your Minne Wedding™. Some dates have an Early Access Package available if you reserve the first time slot of the day. This package includes: two hours of getting ready in the venue’s dressing room(s) plus bubbly. Photography coverage could also be added and Early Access is great for couples wanting to have a First Look moment prior to the ceremony. Additional fees apply.
When will I receive my photos and video?
Roughly four weeks after your Minne Wedding™. If you ordered additional photo and/or video products, they will be delivered afterwards and the timeline varies per product.
How many weddings do you do in one day?
Usually four to five couples get married on a wedding day.
How many people can we invite?
Minne Weddings are limited to 30 people (plus the couple). Additional guests may be added based on the venue for an extra fee. Guest additions can be done during your reservation. If you want to add more guests post-reservation please email amy@minneweddings.com and we will accommodate if we can!
What times are available?
Each Minne Wedding™ event page lists the available times; typically the first time slot is at 10am or 11am and the last one is at 5pm or 6pm.
What will my Minne Wedding™ look like?

Where do we get our marriage license?
You can obtain a marriage license from any county in Minnesota, here is the information for Hennepin County.
When are new Minne Wedding™ dates released?
Minne Wedding™ dates are released anywhere from four months to a year out. Sign up on our waitlist to be the first to know of new dates!
Are there dates available more than a year out? We want to get our Minne Wedding™ booked!
We will release dates more than a year in advance if there is enough demand. Make sure to get on our mailing list and let us know you want a date. Feel free to make your voice heard by emailing us as well.
