Venue

Originally designed and built in 1892 by Minneapolis architect Edward Somerby Stebbins in the charming Kenwood Neighborhood in Minneapolis, this historic residence is best known today as the iconic “Mary Tyler Moore House.”

The home's exterior served as the fictional address where Mary Tyler Moore's character began her new life in Minneapolis. The beloved opening credits of The Mary Tyler Moore Show famously show Mary stepping out of the house on her way to work at WJM-TV, cementing the property's place in television history.

During the show's filming (1970–1977), the space behind the home's iconic windows was nothing more than an unfinished attic. Today, that once-unused area has been transformed into a warm and inviting family room, complete with subtle tributes to the television legend who helped make the house famous.

Now, this beloved Minneapolis landmark is entering an exciting new chapter. Recently opened as a destination for intimate gatherings, celebrations, and extended stays, the home offers guests the rare opportunity to experience a piece of television history while creating memories of your own.
